The Races of Underworld Dreams
Underworld Dreams is home to eleven races. Following is a description and short list of the character races on Underworld Dreams.

Deurgar   Drow   Dwarf   Elf   Gnome   Halfdwarf
Halfelf   Halfkobold   Halforc   Hobbit   Human

Deurgar
Deurgar are known for their skill in warfare and their ability to withstand physical and magical punishment. They stand only 4 to 4.5 feet tall, but they are built very broad and heavy, an weight almost as much as the average human. Deurgar are evil counterparts to the dwarven race, virtually identical except for sharper features and darker eyes, which are almost always pitch black.

Drow
Still in the elf family drow have adapted to life underground. They tend to have dark to black skin. They retain most of their elven attributes, though they are more wise and not quite as intelligent. Drow, like other types of elves, make good magic users or rogues.

Elf
Elves are short and slim, standing about 4.5 to 5.5 feet tall and typically weighing 85 to 135 pounds. They are graceful but frail possessing fine features that often make humans and other races find them hauntingly beautiful.

Gnome
Gnomes are inquisitive, introspective and sometimes reckless in their curiosity. They are much smaller than the other common races, standing between 3 - 3.5 feet tall and weighing a slight 40 - 45 pounds.

Halfdwarf
Halfdwarves are crossbreeds of Humans and Dwarves. They have all the physical attributes of Dwarves and have the stature normally associated with Humans. Unfortunately having Dwarven characteristics, certain races may impart their hatred for Dwarves upon Halfdwarves.

Halfelf
Half-elves are the offspring of Human and Elf marriages. To humans, they look like elves. To elves, they look like humans. They are nearly as large as humans standing between 5 and 6 feet tall and usually weighing between 90-180 pounds.

Halfkobold
Halfkobolds are a mongrel version of the dog-like kobolds, and are about as tall as a gnome. They don't have much going for them except for their fantastic agility -- they make terrific acrobats, as travelling sideshows have found out. Halfkobolds tend to have weak bodies and are not very healthy, being prone to any number of canine diseases. They are not very intellectual, spending most of their time thinking about food, how to get food, and who will give them food.

Halforc
Halforcs are the strange offspring of a humanoid and an orc, feared by most and shunned by almost everyone. Their physical prowess is unmatched by most other common races, though they are, shall we say, not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Hobbit
Hobbits are small funloving creatures with a strong sense of family. Sometimes there is an occasional black sheep with a strong desire for adventure. Hobbits have small frames and are quite agile. Because of their size, they gain certain advantages when fighting much larger foes but they are also picked upon by these large gruesome beasts too.

Human
Humans are the most adaptable, flexible and ambitious people among the common races. They typically stand from 5-6 feet tall and weigh from 125-250 pounds. Thanks to their penchant for migration and conquest, and to their short generations, humans are more physically diverse than other common races.
