OK, removing tribute loss for guards was a good thing (I'm sure of that) but removing it on badges might have been too much. I'm considering putting it back in. Please cast a vote and then leave a note of other things you think would be reasonable and non-exploitable as means of losing tribute.

How about,to prevent shitheels, when a player leaves their clan, all badges owned by them are destroyed.. OR..

A better idea..

Tribute loss can only happen if a the badge was droped by a player in the clan. Thus you cant buy 50000 badges then sac them. Only the badge worn can do this. (thus you cant hold 50 badges, get killed then sac them) This way it would either take: 2 People with evil intent and a lot of spam kills, or the right way ;)

so far, anyone that has something intelligibal to say, agrees badges shouldnt be given rev damage, i voted against, and my suggestion, i feel, is a sort of compromise.

If badges are reinstated with rev loss, then money spent on badges should be put go to the rev. and the badge should be worth the same to the clan when saced, so if someone decides to be a "shit heel". they arent gonna get far without stealing other members badges, or badges laying around. Also, clans that have max tribute, wouldnt go over max, but would just have to deal, and buy a badge when the rev is a little lower, plus this will make it cheaper for warlords to buy lower level(ranked) members badges.

just to clear up what i said, you could still buy a badge wit max rev, the idea though, is that you wouldnt loose more on a badge then you put into it (the clan).

I like the idea except for the maximum revenue part -- I'm not sure what to do there. If I allow buying a badge to exceed max revenue, people will just buy badges to increase their revenues. On the other hand, if the money doesn't go towards the revenue then the person doing this goes back to being able to hurt the clan by being a traitor. I'll have to think about this one.

I don't think the badge loss should be put back in because then we'll still have that backstabbing bunk and people would bitch about it more than they bitch about things anyway. I agree with Random tho, the pk loss needs to be upped, and when people bitch, they must consider that they are the ones that made that person worth that much to kill. The upkeep is ... well ... really, I don't know. Good to keep people from idling in safe all the time once they get full rev ... but kinda bad for those who are still trying to get to full rev. Really don't know where I stand on that either. It might be my laziness talking.

Well, I did put in the limits on who could have and buy badges to help differentiate between the levels more and to have something in place to help slow down abuse. Right now you can still have backstabbing -- someone in your clan just has to agree to roll over and die repeatedly to someone else.

And a few days after I wrote this, someone did just that to Fidel's clan.

Idea: Time limit on Deaths causing trib loss? Say trib loss can only happen once every 30 minuites. Thus a repeated death would take forever.

I think trib loss on PK should be upped (percentage-based) and an upkeep added (Continually lose rev, have to pay it back).

I'm meaning to put in upkeep, just haven't done so yet. As a percentage though ... hmm ...

oh yeah, and how about WL's get REVENUE LOGS! :)

The rev loss on upkeep should be percentage, too. Balanced, so a new clan can still get ahead, but a full-revenue clan still has to work.

There ya go. That's what I was getting at ... in a much more tarded way. *is dumb^3, it seems*
